Cy-Falls alum completes basic naval training
Navy Seaman Recruit George Diaz recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Illinois.
Diaz, a 2009 graduate of Cypress Falls High School in Houston, finished the eight-week program that included classroom study and practical instruction on naval customs, first aid, firefighting, water safety and survival and shipboard and aircraft safety, along with an emphasis on physical fitness.
Diaz is the son of Maria H. and Pedro Diaz of Houston.
