Lone Star College-CyFair to host International Education Week
International Education and Global Entrepreneurship Week will be celebrated from Nov. 15 to Nov. 18, at Lone Star College-CyFair.
The theme of this year's event is Global Connections. Events scheduled include cooking demonstrations and presentations about studying abroad and human trafficking. Some of the free events include:
International Cooking Demonstrations from noon to 2 p.m., Tuesday Nov. 16, in the Health Science Center, room 105
Houston Coalition Against Human Trafficking chair Diana Velardo will discuss her presentation on human trafficking and its local implications, titled "Have you met a slave today?" from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday Nov. 16, in the Conference Center, rooms 151-152.
An international film hosted by Professor Matt Turner dealing with aboriginal culture will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 18 the library, Room 131.
