Cy Falls 61 Cy Lakes 21
Dean Johnson caught three touchdown passes and returned a punt 76 yards for a score as Cypress Falls rolled over Cypress Lakes, 61-21 at Berry Center.
Cy Falls (7-3) advances to the District 17-5A playoffs.
Quarterback Troy Mitchell, who has passed for more than 1,800 yards and 21 touchdowns versus just three interceptions, led the Eagles to a big first half lead with his arm. He connected with Isaiah White (six catches, 93 yards) on a 29-yard score and Johnson twice-- for 35 yards and eleven yards-- in the first half alone.
Mitchell completed 16 of 30 passes for 231 yards and three touchdowns.
Johnson (six catches, 143 yards) also caught a 60-yard halfback pass from Brice Peters with 10:24 remaining in the second quarter that put the Eagles up 35-7.
They led 47-7 at halftime.
Quarterback Jonathon Bowen ran seven times for 75 yards and Dyron Johnson caught four passes for 99 yards and a touchdown for Cy Lakes (1-9).
