Construction company sues over failure to pay

A construction company is suing, alleging it was not paid for the work it did on a chemical plant near Conroe.

Webb, Murray Associates Inc. filed a lawsuit on Nov. 9 in the Harris County District Court against a company based in Cy-Fair, SCS Construction Management, alleging breach of contract.

The plaintiff says it provided labor and materials on a project in the Huntsman Conroe Plant amounting to $63,455. According to the brief, the defendants have failed to make this payment, which constitutes a breach of contract.

Webb, Murray Associates Inc. is seeking actual damages and attorney's fees.

It is being represented by League City attorney Richard Fulton.
