"The Mikado" opera coming to Cy-Fair next week
A family production of Gilbert and Sullivan's "The Mikado" will be presented on Lone Star College-Cy-Fair's stage from Nov. 18 through Nov. 20.
The popular opera from W.S. Gilbert and Sir Arthur Sullivan follows Yum-Yum and Nanki-Poo, two young lovers who keep finding the laws of the Mikado in the way of their wedded bliss.
Performances will be held at 7:30 p.m on Thursday, Nov. 18, and Friday, Nov. 19, and at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 20, in the Main Stage Theatre in the Center for the Arts building.
Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District students (K-12) are free with a valid ID.
