HS girls basketball: Cy Lakes defeats Katy
The Cy Lakes Spartans (1-1) defeated the Katy Tigers (1-1) in girls basketball Friday.
The Spartans led the Tigers 25-15 at halftime and outscored Katy 35-25 in the second half to ensure the victory.
Cy Lakes' Zavier Landry led all players with 16 points.
Elania Baytop added 13 points while Jewel Angelo had 11 points and Kim Nebo contributed 10 points in the winning effort.
Marley Brown led Katy with 11 points and Megan Jackman added 10 points.
Cortney Cox led the Spartans with seven rebounds.
