HS girls basketball preview: Cypress Woods v. Bush
Cypress Woods visits Bush in District 23-5A girls basketball action on Tuesday.
Cypress Woods is 1-0 on the season, winning its first game 69-28 over Travis.
Jennifer Nash, a 5-foot, 10-inch senior guard, led the way for Cypress Woods with 20 points and eight steals.
Chelsi Grimes, a 5-foot senior guard, added 13 points, shooting 6-7 from the floor.
Next up for Cypress Woods is Lamar Consolidated on Monday.
Bush is 1-1 on the year, winning its last game 49-41 over Taylor.
Brittany Smith, a 5-foot, 7-inch senior guard, leads Bush in scoring at 14 points per game. Victoria Kemokai, a 5-foot, 2-inch sophomore guard, adds 11 points a game for her squad.
Next up for Bush is Cypress Ranch in the Fort Bend Tournament on Thursday.
Tuesday's tipoff is slated for 7 p.m.
