HS boys basketball: Cy-Fair falls to Katy Mayde Creek
Cy-Fair lost to Mayde Creek 64-62 in District 19-5A basketball action on Tuesday.
Mayde Creek's Dominique Taylor led all scorers with 27 points, helping move his team to 1-0 on the season. Taylor hit 5-16 triples and snatched six steals on the night.
Eric Stubbs, a 6-foot, 3-inch junior guard, scored 14 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for Mayde Creek.
Next up for Mayde Creek is Pasadena in the Texas Invitational on Thursday.
Freshman BJ Jones paced Cy-Fair with 19 points in the loss, which dropped his team to 0-1 on the year. Cody Wall, a senior, added 15 points for Cypress Fair.
Next up for Cy-Fair is a Friday trip to Tomball.
