HS boys basketball: Cypress Falls defeats Humble
Cypress Falls defeated Humble in District 17-5A basketball action on Tuesday.
Cypress Falls won the game 58-49, pushing the team to 1-0 on the season.
Matt Slade, a 6-foot, 3-inch senior, and Kerry Kang, a 5-foot, 10-inch senior, each had 21 points for Cy-Falls. Mitchell Badillo, a 5-foot, 9-inch junior, added 14 points in the victory.
Summer Creek pays a visit to Cypress Falls on Friday at 7 p.m.
D.J. Southworth, a 6-foot senior, led Humble with 21 points in the loss. Chevas Wilson, a 6-foot senior, and Junior Perry, a 6-foot, 2-inch junior, each added 10 points for Humble.
The Humble Wildcats will play Bellaire in the Texas Invitational on Thursday at 11:30 a.m.
