Man suspected of north Houston bank robbery
Authorities are asking the public to help them identify a man suspected in a bank robbery in north Houston Tuesday afternoon.
The heist occurred at the Trustmark Bank at 6809 FM 1960 West near Cutten about 3:50 p.m., officials said.
The man walked into the bank and went to the only teller on duty. He handed the woman a note, which stated he demanded money and then he told the teller he had a gun. The teller gave him money, and he left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
No injuries were reported.
The bank's surveillance camera recorded images of the man.
The man is described as about 27 years old and about 5 feet 7 inches tall. He weighs about 150 pounds. He was clean-shaven and had sideburns. He wore a dark-blue knit cap, a navy-blue sweater, blue jeans and black, plastic-rimmed glasses.
Anyone with information in the case is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information leading to the man's charging and arrest.
