HS girls basketball: Cy Ranch defeats Taylor
The Cy Ranch Mustangs (1-2) defeated the Alief Taylor Lions (1-2) 55-37 Tuesday in girls basketball.
Cy Ranch trailed 8-6 at the end of the first quarter but outscored Taylor 49-29 during the final three quarters coasting to an easy victory at Taylor.
Six-foot senior Megan Roemlein and 5-foot, 8-inch senior Hillary Morris both had strong games for the Mustangs.
Roemlein led Cy Ranch in scoring with 13 points, compiled eight rebounds and made two steals while Morris scored 12 points, dished for five assists, grabbed three rebounds and also had two steals.
Five-foot, 11-inch Taylor senior Jazymne Victorian led all players in scoring with 19 points.
