HS boys basketball: Spring Woods defeats Jersey Village

Spring Woods defeated Jersey Village in District 17-5A basketball action on Tuesday.

Spring Woods won the game 58-44, pushing it to 1-0 on the season.

Falaq Gaither, a 5-foot, 11-inch senior guard, led all scorers in the contest with 20 points for Spring Woods. Fabion Moffett, alao a 5-foot, 11-inch senior guard, added 14 points in the victory.

Klein will visit Spring Woods on Monday at 7 p.m.

The loss dropped Jersey Village to 0-1 on the year.

Ryan Garcia, a 6-foot, 1-inch junior guard, paced Jersey Village with nine points in the defeat.

The Jersey Village Falcons play at Seven Lakes on Friday at 7 p.m.
