HS girls basketball: Cy-Fair defeats Cinco Ranch
Cypress Fair defeated Katy Cinco Ranch in District 17-5A girls basketball on Tuesday.
Cy-Fair won the game 62-53, moving it to 1-1 on the season.
Cassie Peoples, a 5-foot, 7-inch senior guard, led all scorers in the contest with 30 points for Cypress Fair. Tara Warren, a 5-foot, 9-inch senior guard, added 16 points in the victory.
Next up is Klein Collins in the Texas Invitational on Thursday at 11:30 a.m.
The loss dropped Katy Cinco Ranch to 2-1 on the year.
Megan Palmer. A 6-foot, 1-inch junior forward, led Cinco Ranch with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Ashleigh Nwanguma, a 6-foot, 1-inch senior had a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards for Cinco Ranch.
Next up is a trip to Houston Westside on Monday at 7 p.m.
