HS boys basketball: Cypress Fair falls to Mayde Creek
Cypress Fair lost to Mayde Creek in District 19-5A basketball action on Wednesday.
Mayde Creek won the game 64-62 in overtime, moving it to 2-0 on the season.
Dominique Taylor led all scorers with 27 points in the game for Mayde Creek. Eric Stubbs, a 6-foot, 3-inch junior guard, added 14 points for Mayde Creek.
Next up is the Texas Invitational on Thursday for Mayde Creek.
The loss dropped Cypress Fair to 0-2 on the year.
BJ Jones, a freshman, had 19 points for Cy-Fair and Cody Wall, a senior, added 15 points in the loss.
The Cy-Fair Bobcats play Tomball on Friday at 7 p.m.
