HS football preview: Cypress Creek v. Cinco Ranch
Cypress Creek (8-3, 7-2) will face Cinco Ranch (10-1, 6-1) in area 5A football playoff action on Saturday at Tully Stadium.
Cy-Creek senior quarterback Chuckie Keeton leads a high-flying passing game, which has produced over 2,000 yards of offense and 11 touchdowns this season. Cy-Creek's running attack, anchored by junior halfback Devan Demis, tripples its air attack in points with 34 touchdowns on the year.
Cinco Ranch lacks in its passing game this year, but makes up for it from the offensive backfield. Leading rusher K.C. Nlemchi averages 113 yards per game, followed by the one-two punch of Jamel James, who averages 107 yards per game.
Kick off for this playoff grudge match is set for Saturday at 1 p.m.
