Cypress native Michael Yo hosts Hollywood Dream Awards
Cy-Fair High School alumnus and celebrity correspondent Michael Yo hosted the third annual Hollywood Dream Awards on Nov. 14.
At the awards show, nearly 300 actors, musicians, artists, producers, directors and philanthropists came together at Raleigh Studios to honor "Caprica" star Esai Morales, "Marilyn" producer Anthony Rhulen of FilmEngine and Dr. Howard Samuels of the Hills Treatment Center.
The comic personality grew up in Cypress' Lakewood Oaks Estates, where he went by the name Michael Simmons.
For the past two years, Yo has served as a celebrity correspondent for both "The Daily 10" and "E! News" and hosts the popular live satellite radio show "Yo on E!" He also regularly appears as a round table panelist on "Chelsea Lately" and can often be seen as a Hollywood expert on CNN, FOX and MSNBC.
