Cy-Fair-area physicians company sues local practice
A Cy-Fair-area physician management services company is suing an area medical practice saying it did not make good on payments.
AlteraMed Group filed suit in Harris County District Court on Nov. 18 against Montes Family Medicine Association, 6671 S.W. Freeway, Suite 110, saying that Montes has not made all of the court-ordered payments toward a promissory note.
According to the suit, in February, Montes was ordered by the District Court of Harris County to make payments to AlteraMed, who then issued a promissory note to be paid over eight months. The note asked for Montes to pay $1,000 a month over that time period. AlteraMed says that Montes stopped making payments in September.
AlteraMed is seeking damages for the remainder of the payments totaling $6.834.12, attorney's fees, pre- and post-judgment interest and all other entitled damages.
AlteraMed is being represented in the case by the Houston lawyer Trent D. Stephens.
