HS girls basketball: Cypress Creek falls to Duncanville
Duncanville defeated Cypress Creek 55-38 in the Texas Invitational on Thursday.
The game was part of the Texas Invitational, a marathon day of high school hoops.
The loss dropped Cypress Creek to 4-2 on the season, but it came back later in the day and moved to 5-2 by dropping Bellaire 64-54.
Caitllin Beale, a 5-foot, 11-inch senior, leads Cy-Creek in scoring at 18 points per game. Maddy McGlamery, a 5-foot, 8-inch senior forward, adds 17.7 points per game for Cypress Creek.
Ikpeaku Iwobi and Angelica Weaver each average 12 points per game for Cypress Creek.
Next up is a Monday visit from Concordia Lutheran at 6:30 p.m.
