HS girls basketball: Cypress Creek defeats Bellaire
Cypress Creek defeated Bellaire 64-54 in girls basketball action at the Texas Invitational on Thursday.
Bellaire struck early, gaining a 15-6 advantage in the first quarter. It maintained its nine point lead through the second, making it 30-21 at the half. In the second half, Cy-Creek roared back to life, outscoring Bellaire 43-24 to claim a 10-point victory.
Cy-Creek is led by Maddy McGlamery, who averages 17.7 points per game this season.
Aj Alix and Raven Burns lead the scoring charge for Bellaire this season, averaging 23.5 and 22.5 points per game, respectively.
Cypress Creek (5-2) will host Tomball Concordia Lutheran on Monday at 6:30 p.m.
Bellaire will visit Klein Collins on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
