SAN MARCOS - In the short four-year history of the Cypress Woods volleyball program, each team has tried to leave a legacy for the next one.
While they would have liked to leave a little bit more, the Wildcats this year had the best season of any team before it.
The season ended at Strahan Coliseum on Friday night when Hebron beat Cy Woods 25-17, 25-14, 25-18 in the Class 5A state semifinals.
“It is hard to lose here because we came in thinking we had a chance to win it all,” senior Carla Armstrong said. “But I still feel proud to be part of the team that made it here for the first time.
