Cy-Fair's Elliott wins all-conference honors
Former Cy-Fair team captain and current Truman junior defensive back Michael Elliott was selected to the All-Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic association (MIAA) first team earlier this month.
Elliott led the Bulldogs with 14 tackles during the 62-61 season-ending loss to the University of Nebraska at Omaha on Nov. 13 in Kirksville, Missouri.
He was selected MIAA Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 18 after intercepting three passes during games and was also selected All-MIAA honorable mention last season.
Elliott led Cy-Fair to the state quarter-finals in consecutive years and was a two-time all-district selection.
