KRIV: Seven children have whooping cough at local school

Seven children have been diagnosed with whooping cough at a private
school in the Cy-Fair area, Houston Fox affiliate KRIV reports.
 

Rita Obey with Harris County Public Health & Environmental Services
said seven children enrolled in the The Adventure Preschool & Windwood
Christian Academy have the whooping cough. The school is on the
property of Windwood Presbyterian Church on Spring Cypress Road in
northwest Harris County.

Obey also said teachers, parents and other children who came in
contact with the affected students have been placed on antibiotic
treatments.
