HS boys basketball: Cypress Springs falls to Klein Collins
Cypress Springs lost to Klein Collins in boys high school basketball action on Monday.
Collins won the game 87-77, moving it to 3-3 on the season. Trevor Johnson led Collins in scoring with 21 points in the victory. Hunter Rhyne, a 6-foot, 1-inch senior, added 19 points, and Jarrad Bratton, a senior, chipped in 16 points.
Houston Bellaire visits Collins tonight at 7 p.m.
Monday's loss dropped Cypress Springs to 0-3 on the year.
Richard Benedyth, a 5-foot, 11-inch junior guard, led Cy-Springs with 34 points in the loss. Benedyth paces the team on the year, scoring 21 points per game. Marquel McKinney, a 6-foot, 2-inch senior guard, added 10 points for Cy-Springs in the loss.
Katy Cinco Ranch plays at Cypress Springs on Thursday, Dec. 2, at 3:30 p.m.
