HS boys basketball: Jersey Village falls to Tomball
The Tomball Cougars (2-1) defeated the Jersey Village Falcons (0-4) 59-49 Wednesday during the annual boys basketball Border Battle at Spring High School.
The Border Battle features eight consecutive games pitting District 13-5A (Spring and Klein ISD schools) against District 17-5A (Cy-Fair ISD).Tomball led 26-24 at half and outscored Jersey Village 33-25 during the second half ensuring the victory.
5’8” Cougars senior guard Marque Booker led all players in scoring with 24 points.
Tomball’s Tyler Pavlas contributed 16 points and 5’10” senior guard Ronnie Harrison added 15 points for the Cougars.
Jersey Village 6’1” junior guard Ryan Garcia led the Falcons in scoring with 19 points.
Up next: JVHS plays at Klein on Tues., Nov. 30 at 7:00 p.m.
