KHOU: Resident shot in Cy-Fair home invasion

A man in the Cy-Fair area was shot in the stomach during a break-in at his
apartment early Sunday, Houston CBS affiliate KHOU reports.
 

Deputies said officers were called to a unit at the Village in the Woods
apartment complex near the intersection of Grant and Lakewood Forest around
1 a.m. and found a man shot in the stomach. He was transported to Ben
Taub in stable condition.

Authorities said several unknown suspects kicked in the front door of the
apartment and broke in, but it was not clear what their intentions were. One
of them then shot the resident and the suspects fled the scene.
