HS boys basketball: Cypress Creek v. Tomball Concordia Lutheran
Houston Cypress Creek hosts Tomball Concordia Lutheran in high school boys basketball action on Monday.
Cypress Creek is 2-3 on the year after losing 76-73 to Bryan Rudder on Saturday. Justin Comer, a 6-foot, 7-inch senior forward, led Cy-Creek with 18 points in the narrow loss.
Joseph Munoz, a 6-foot, 2-inch senior wing, leads Cy-Creek in scoring at 14.3 points per game. Comer is second on the team in scoring at 12.8 points per game.
After facing Concordia Lutheran, Cypress Creek will host Houston Austin on Friday.
Concordia Lutheran is 1-2 on the year after beating Episcopal 67-62 last Monday. Sheldon Williams leads his team in scoring on the season at 22.5 points per game.
Tyler Holloway, a 6-foot, 7-inch junior forward, averages 15 points per game, and Hunter Gatewood, a 6-foot, 4-inch sophomore guard, chips in 14 points per game.
Following Monday's Cy-Creek game, Concordia Lutheran will visit Katy Pope John XXIII on Jan. 11.
Monday's tipoff is slated for 7 p.m.
