Cy-Fair woman sues Memorial school
A woman is suing after, she says, she fell 25 feet to the ground.
Monique Johnson, of 7403 Sunlight Lane, filed a lawsuit on Dec. 2 in the Harris County District Court against Memorial Christian Academy, alleging negligent conduct on premises and negligence.
Johnson says that in July of 2010, Memorial Christian Academy, located at 1315 Dairy Ashford, scheduled her to be the teacher in charge of a Slip 'n Slide activity. According to the brief, a student became stuck on top of the equipment. Johnson says that when she climbed up 25 feet to rescue the child, she slipped through an opening in the Slip 'n Slide and fell to the ground. As a result of the fall, her knee was injured and her ACL was torn. Her injuries required reconstructive surgery.
Johnson is seeking compensatory and exemplary damages and court costs.
She is being represented in the case by Houston attorney David Bergquist.
