Ogwumike picks up another national award

Former Cy-Fair basketball standout Chiney Ogwumike, who graduated in May, was chosen as the Gatorade National Female Athlete of Year. Ogwumike received her award on Wednesday in Los Angeles.
Earlier this year, Ogwumike was named the National Girls Basketball Player of Year. She averaged 22.9 points and 13.9 rebounds per game her senior season and led the Cy-Fair girls basketball team to its second state title in three years.
