Donation from masonry contractors helps build Cy-Fair scholarship fund

The Cy-Fair Independent School District recently received a $2,500 scholarship from the Associated Masonry Contractors of Houston (AMCH) as part of its "Building Our Future" scholarship program.

The scholarships will be awarded to graduating Cy-Fair students at the discretion of the district’s Education Foundation.

"Building Our Future" provides scholarships for Houston-area students. The program emphasizes the beauty, safety, strength and value masonry construction can bring to schools. They have provided $37,500 in scholarships for 2010.

The AMCH comprises more than 50 companies related to the masonry industry.
