Woman sues over injury at Cy-Fair gas station
A woman is suing Wal-Mart after, she says, she gashed her forehead on a low-hanging sign.
Tracy Roberts filed a lawsuit on Dec. 23, 2010, in Harris County District Court against Murphy Oil Corp. and Wal-Mart Stores, alleging negligence.
Roberts says that on Dec. 24, 2008, she was seriously injured while attempting to buy gas at the Wal-Mart gas station located at 6914 Lakeview Haven Dr. According to the brief, Roberts, while walking toward the gas pump, gashed her forehead on a low-hanging, razor-sharp sign.
Roberts is seeking actual and consequential damages. She is representing herself in the case.
