Cy-Fair woman sued over gun injury
A Cy-Fair resident is suing after, she says, her friend accidently shot her.
Kayla Bolin filed a lawsuit on Dec. 22 in the Harris County District Court against Kathleen Parker, of 8914 Arbor Wood Drive, alleging negligence.
Bolin says that on Jan. 26, 2009, she was seriously injured when the defendant shot her while carelessly handling her 9 mm handgun. According to the brief, the gun’s discharge wounded her leg, pelvis and abdominal region.
Bolin is seeking damages and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Randall Sorrels.
