Houston Food Bank to receive 'gold rush check'
The Houston Food Bank will be accepting a “holiday gold rush check” donation from C.D. Clark & Co. Gold Buyers on Wednesday, Dec. 29, at 1 p.m.
The donation is the result of a month-long promotion by the jewelry buyback store. Five percent of the value of all the gold and silver it bought was donated to feed people in the 18 counties served by the food bank.
Customers brought their gold and silver to the C.D. Clark locations in the Willowbrook Mall in the Cy-Fair area and the First Colony Mall in Sugar Land from Nov. 21 to Dec. 21.
Chad Clark, owner of C.D. Clark & Co., will present the food bank’s Chief Development Officer Amy Ragan with the check at the Herzstein facility of the food bank at 3811 Eastex Fwy.
