Missouri City man sues Cy-Fair man over partnership
A man is suing his business partner after, he says, he was cut out of their business.
Missouri City resident Clifton Calbert filed a lawsuit on Dec. 29 in Harris County District Court against Ronald Turner and Robert Eubanks, alleging breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duties and fraud.
Calbert says that on Feb. 11, 2010, he entered into a partnership agreement with Turner for the corporation known as Abundant Living. According to the brief, after signing the partnership agreement with Calbert, Turner conveyed 45 percent interest of the business to Eubanks. Calbert states that the defendants then excluded him from the business and refused to hold shareholder meetings.
Calbert is seeking actual and punitive damages, attorney’s fees and court costs. He is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Benjamin Hall III.
