HS girls basketball: Jersey Village defeats Cy Springs
Jersey Village took a 37-33 victory over Cy Springs in District 17-5A high school girls basketball action on Tuesday.
Cypress Springs led this one at the half, but Jersey Village outscored their opponent 10-7 in the third quarter to take the lead and never gave it up.
Jersey Village is now 12-8 on the season and 2-1 in district play.
Senior guard Kristin Overton led her team to the victory with 14 points.
Jersey Village will next visit Cypress Falls on Friday at 7 p.m.
Cyoress Springs fell to 3-12 on the season and 0-2 in district play.
Senior Sable Wallace scored 9 points for the losing team.
The team will next visit Cypress Lakes on Friday at 7 p.m.
