H-E-B Cypress Market holds safety day July 24
From a press release:
In conjunction with its partnership with the Harris County Sheriff's Office, H-E-B Cypress Market will host a safety day for area families and shoppers at the store on Saturday, July 24 from noon to 5 p.m. Five top deputies from the Harris County Sheriff's Office and members of H-E-B's loss prevention team will be on-site to educate customers about parking lot safety and offer crime prevention tips as well as hand out literature on crime prevention.
As part of the day's activities, officers will educate shoppers about the importance of keeping belongings out of plain sight. Farmer's Insurance will offer child identification cards and fingerprinting, which provides accurate and detailed information to police in the event of an emergency. Children will enjoy meeting G.I.S.M.O., the Harris County Sheriff's Office safety robot, while parents learn the right way to buckle children into car seats. Other participating agencies include Crime Stoppers of Houston and Gulf Coast Crime Prevention Association.
H-E-B is a member of the Greater Houston Loss prevention Alliance, which is a unique partnership between five local retailers and the Houston Police Department. Through this partnership, loss prevention directors from Target, Wal-Mart, Kroger, Randall's and Fiesta share information about potential safety threats in hopes of preventing crimes from taking place at all stores.
