HS girls basketball preview: Cypress Woods v. Cypress Creek
District 17-5A rivals Cypress Woods and Cypress Creek meet in girls high school basketball action on Friday.
Cypress Woods is an impressive 13-3 on the season and 1-1 in district play. The Wildcats are coming off a 36-31 win over Langham Creek on Tuesday.
Senior guard Jennifer Nash is leading the team in scoring with an average of 18.6 points per game.
The Wildcats will next visit Cypress Springs on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Cypress Creek is 2-6 on the season and 2-0 in district play. The Cougars are coming off a 74-46 win over Cypress Lakes on Tuesday.
Maddy McGlamery is having a nice season for the Cougars, averaging 16.3 points per game.
Cypress Creek next host Langham Creek on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Friday’s tip-off is slated for 7 p.m.
