HS girls basketball preview: Cypress Ridge v. Cy-Fair
Cypress Ridge will visit Cy-Fair in District 17-5A girls high school basketball action on Friday.
Cypress Ridge is a disappointing 4-19 on the season and 0-3 in district play. The Rams are coming off a 72-46 beating at the hands of Cypress Falls on Tuesday.
Karissa Hayter has been a defensive asset on the floor, with 49 steals, 24 blocks and 40 defensive boards on the season.
The Rams will next host Cypress Ridge on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Cy-Fair is an even 9-9 on the season and 2-1 in district play. The Bobcats are coming off a 60-49 win over Cypress Ranch on Tuesday.
Senior guard Cassie Peoples is averaging 23.9 points per game to lead her team in scoring.
The Bobcats next visit Cypress Lakes on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Friday’s tip-off is slated for 7 p.m.
