HS girls basketball: Cy-Lakes tops Cy-Springs
Cy-Lakes defeated Cy-Springs in District 17-5A hoops action on Friday.
The Spartans won the game 45-40 in overtime, moving to 8-9 overall and 1-2 in district games. Jewel Angelo, a sophomore guard, scored a game-high 22 points in the victory.
Cy-Lakes will host Cy-Falls on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
Friday’s loss dropped the Panthers to 3-13 on the year and 0-2 in district play. Sable Wallace, a senior guard, scored 13 points in the defeat.
Cy-Springs will host Cy-Woods on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
