HS girls basketball preview: Cypress Woods vs. Cypress Springs
District 17-5A rivals Cypress Woods and Cypress Springs battle in girls high school basketball action on Tuesday.
Cypress Woods is 15-4 on the season and 2-1 in district play. The Wildcats are coming off a 57-51 win over Cypress Creek on Friday.
Senior guard Jennifer Nash is averaging 18.9 points a game to lead her team in scoring.
The Wildcats will next visit Jersey Village on Friday at 7 p.m.
Cypress Springs is 3-13 on the season and 0-2 in district play. The Panthers are coming off a 45-40 loss to Cypress Lakes on Friday.
Senior guard Sable Wallace is leading the team in scoring with an average of 12.5 points per game.
The Panthers will next visit Cypress Ranch on Friday at 7 p.m.
Tuesday’s tip-off is slated for 7 p.m.
