Cy-Fair-area school raises funds for Nuno family

The Nuno family.

Harmony School of Excellence held a fundraiser in December to benefit the Nuno family, who lost three family members in a vehicle accident last September on Gessner Street across from the school.

On Dec. 16, 2010, Principal Gurol Duman and the PTO board presented Felix Nuno with books, a gift card and $800, which the school raised in a benefit for the family.  

A Chevy Tahoe hit the Nuno family's minivan on North Gessner. Mayra Torres and her 14-year-old son Christopher Nuno died on impact. Six-year-old Katia Nuno died later at the hospital. Mr. Nuno has two surviving sons.
