Cy Ridge grad Jackson selected to All-American team
Cy Ridge HS graduate and Blinn College sophomore Princeton Jackson was recently selected to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Football All-American First Team.
The 6-foot, 1-inch, 220-pound linebacker was also named the SWJCFC Defensive MVP.
Jackson recorded 58 tackles and had two interceptions including one that he returned for a touchdown this season.
South Carolina State, Southeastern Louisiana, and UNLV have all offered the uncommitted Jackson scholarships.
Jackson makes his official UNLV visit the weekend of Jan. 21.
He compiled 125 tackles, seven sacks and had an interception his senior season at Cy Ridge.
Jackson was named District 15-5A Defensive Player of the Year and was a second team all-state selection in 2008.
He was also a standout first baseman at Cy Ridge and was scouted by every MLB team before deciding to concentrate on football.
