HS girls basketball: Cypress Woods defeats Cypress Ridge
Cypress Woods crushed Cypress Ridge 63-28 in District 17-5A high school girls basketball action on Tuesday.
Cypress Ridge fell behind 22-4 in the first quarter and could never get back in the game.
The win brings Cypress Woods to 18-4 on the season and 5-1 in district play.
Senior Jennifer Nash scored a game-high 17 points in the victory.
Cypress Woods will next visit Cypress Lakes on Friday at 7 p.m.
With the loss, Cypress Ridge falls to 4-22 on the season and 0-6 in district play.
Despite her team losing, Karissa Hayter had a nice game with 16 points.
