HS girls basketball preview: Cypress Ranch vs. Cy-Fair

District 17-5A rivals Cypress Ranch and Cy-Fair will battle in girls high school basketball action on Friday.

Cypress Ranch is 14-13 on the season and 5-2 in district play. The Mustangs are coming off a 53-40 win over Cypress Lakes on Tuesday.

Senior KiKi Devane is averaging 11.2 points per game to lead her team in scoring.

The Mustangs will next host Cypress Woods on Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Cy-Fair is 14-9 on the season and 5-1 in district play. The Bobcats are coming off a 63-55 win over Cypress Creek on Tuesday.

Cassie Peoples leads her team in scoring with an average of 23.1 points per game.

The Bobcats will next visit Cypress Ridge on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Friday’s tip-off is slated for 7 p.m.
