HS girls basketball: Cypress Woods defeats Cypress Ranch
Cypress Woods overpowered Cypress Ranch 57-44 in District 14-5A girls high school basketball on Tuesday.
A strong 20-13 third quarter by Cypress Woods put the game out of reach.
The win brings Cypress Woods to 23-4 on the season, including 8-1 in district play.
Senior Jennifer Nash came up big in the win with 16 points.
Cypress Woods will next host Langham Creek on Friday at 7 p.m.
The loss drops Cypress Ranch to 14-15 on the season and 5-4 in district play.
Sophomore Ashlyn Wiemann scored 13 points in the loss.
