HS girls basketball: Cypress Falls defeats Jersey Village
Cypress Falls toppled Jersey Village 60-48 in District 17-5A girls high school basketball on Tuesday.
Jersey Village fell behind by 12 in the first but managed to get the game within five by half. Then, Cypress Falls took control and closed out the win.
The win brings Cypress Falls to an amazing 31-1 on the season, including a perfect 9-0 in district play.
Lakendria Scott came up big in the win with 21 points.
Cypress Falls will next visit Cypress Ranch on Friday at 7 p.m.
The loss drops Jersey Village to 12-14 on the season and 3-6 in district play.
Senior Nadine Fadelle scored 13 points for the losing side.
