Cy-Fair company sues over Baytown apartments project
Cy-Fair’s American Fire Systems Inc. filed a lawsuit on Jan. 27 in the Harris County District Court against Penco Central Inc., Bicentennial Square Co., Robert Renneker and Mike Draper, alleging breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty and violations of the prompt pay act.
American Fire Systems says that on Sept. 25, 2009, it contracted with the defendants to install a wet pipe sprinkler system at the Bicentennial Square Apartments project, located at 805 Schilling in Baytown. According to the brief, the defendants refuse to pay over $79,000 owed to the plaintiff for labor and materials as contracted.
American Fire Systems is seeking actual and exemplary damages, attorney’s fees and court costs. It is being represented in the case by Houston attorney W. Jason Walker.
