HS girls basketball: Cypress Lakes defeats Cypress Ridge
Cypress Lakes toppled Cypress Ridge 62-41 in District 17-5A high school girls basketball action on Tuesday.
A close first half was forgotten as Cypress Lakes dominated the second half, outscoring its opponent 43-26.
The win ups Cypress Lakes to 10-15 on the season and 2-8 in district play.
Sophomore Jewel Angelo had a game-high 15 points to lead her team to the win.
Cypress Lakes will next host Cypress Springs on Friday at 7 p.m.
The loss drops Cypress Ridge to 6-26 on the season and 1-9 in district play.
Junior Cree Atkinson scored 14 points in the loss.
Cypress Ridge will next host Cypress Ranch on Friday at 7 p.m.
