HS girls basketball: Faith West Academy defeats Cypress Christian
Faith West Academy defeated Cypress Christian 51-44 in District TAPPS 7-3A high school girls basketball action on Tuesday.
Although Kinkaid was down by a point after one, the team rallied to lead each of the net three quarters by a basket or less.
The win ups Faith West Academy to 14-7 on the season and 2-0 in district play.
Tyeisha Mitchell had a big game with 20 points in the win.
Faith West Academy will next host Southwest Christian Academy on Friday at 6 p.m.
The loss drops Cypress Christian to 11-11 on the season and 3-4 in district play.
