Cy Ridge's Callahan signs with Sam Houston
Cy Ridge HS senior Collin Callahan has signed to play football next season for Sam Houston State University.
The 6-foot, 1-inch, 225-pound linebacker was the district defensive MVP and one of 10 finalists for the Touchdown Club of Houston Defensive Player of the Year.
Callahan chose Sam Houston over scholarship offers from North Texas and Southeastern Louisiana.
He compiled 193 tackles and 11 quarterback sacks during his Cy Ridge career.
