Cy-Falls grad Vannessa Simmons hits double figures in loss to Western Kentucky
Vannessa Simmons scored 11 points but South Alabama fell 56-41 to Western Kentucky Wednesday.
Simmons lettered one season at Cypress Falls High School in and three seasons at Eisenhower HS in Lawton, Oklahoma. She played her senior season at Cy-Falls where she earned first team all-conference honors after being selected as the league’s Defensive Player of the Year.
Simmons averaged 15 points per game, 7.0 rebounds per game and 4.0 steals per game for the Golden Eagles She was also selected to the Texas All-Star Team as a senior.
Vannessa Melody Simmons is the third oldest out of 11 siblings and is majoring in Business Administration.
